Dr Una MacGlone

Dr Una MacGlone is a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Edinburgh. Her research investigates process, outcomes and wellbeing impacts of community music workshops for young people with additional support needs. She is co-editor of an anthology: Expanding the Space for Improvisation Pedagogy (2019), published by Routledge.  She uses person-centred and mixed-methods approaches to develop understandings of creativity and interdisciplinary settings. Una is also an experienced creative educator, particularly with Early Years and individuals with an additional support need. Una is bassist in different genres and a founder member of Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra. Also working in improvisation research and pedagogy, she has given workshops and lectured across Europe and North America.
