Dr Diljeet Kaur Bhachu is a musician, researcher, educator and activist based in Glasgow, Scotland. After a few years of working in community and inclusive music contexts, she started a PhD at the University of Edinburgh exploring the intersections of primary school music and community music, through the people who lead musicking in those settings. She completed her PhD in 2019, and has since maintained a portfolio of research and teaching work alongside working as an arts producer and continuing to write and perform as a musician. As of September 2022, Diljeet works at the Musicians’ Union as an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer.
