Dr Niamh NicGhabhann

Niamh NicGhabhann is Assistant Dean, Research in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Limerick, Ireland, and Lecturer in the Department of History. She was the founding course director of the award-winning MA Festive Arts programme at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, UL, from 2013-2020. The programme offers students the opportunity to develop skills in arts management, curating, production, performance and research with an emphasis on festivity and the role of festival in society. Bringing together artists, performers, curators, producers and researchers, the MA Festive Arts programme provides a unique context for the acquisition and development of skills in this field. Niamh’s research areas are in art and architectural histories, critical heritage studies, and aspects of cultural policy studies.
