Ruth Currie is a PhD researcher at York St John University and the International Centre for Community Music. Her research is based in a community music organisation in the UK, where she is exploring their role as a publicly funded cultural leader and their relationship with local cultural partners. As a part-time PhD researcher, Ruth is just over half way through her doctoral studies. When not undertaking her PhD, Ruth is also an art manager in the UK and is based in Glasgow.
