Fran Garry

Fran Garry is a singer/songwriter, musician and community musician. She is a guest lecturer at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick, where she recently completed her PhD Arts Practice (music) research project. Fran received an Irish Research CouncilĀ  Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship in support of her research, which is an in-depth exploration of lived experiences in community arts in Ireland. Alongside choral direction and bass accompaniment for school musicals, Fran facilitates vocal and creative music workshops in various educational and community settings, working with people of all ages. She holds an M.A. in Community Music from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance (U.L.), a B.A. in History and English Literature (U.L.), and a Certificate in Youth Arts from the National Youth Council of Ireland/N.U.I. Maynooth.
