Maria Rosario Bravo Collado studied music theory and choir direction at Universidad de Chile and received a Master of Music (Musicology) from The University of Manchester, sponsored by a Becas Chile scholarship. She is currently a PhD candidate in Arts, specializing in music, at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, funded by a scholarship from the National Research and Development Agency of Chile (ANID). From the perspectives of ethnomusicology and applied ethnomusicology, her research delves into community choirs and their connection to cultural democracy and critical pedagogy. Currently, Rosario is participating as a thesis student at the Millennium Nucleus in Musical and Sound Cultures.
